How Does it Work?

Jet Plasma is a powerful device that penetrates 13,000 volts of cold plasma through the epidermis; into the dermal and subcutaneous layers of the skin. This action stimulates high levels of collagen production and remodels the cellular structure of the skin from the inside out. When Jet Plasma is mixed with oxide-oxygen, ozone is created; which kills surface bacteria and is anti-inflammatory. With this technology, there is no surface trauma to the skin meaning there is no downtime, and it is safe on all skin types and Fitzpatrick levels.

Jet Plasma Treatments

A single Jet Plasma treatment lasts between 15 and 30 minutes and is followed by 30 minutes of a Celluma LED treatment.

Although you will typically see some results from a single treatment, we recommend a series of at least 3 treatments, however; depending on the condition and the severity of the condition more treatments may be required. Most clients should plan for 3- 8 treatments.

The first 3 treatments need to be completed within two weeks and then they may be spaced out further. Individual treatments must be may be spaced out every 48 hours to one week apart initially, and occasional maintenance once desired results are achieved.

Jet Plasma for Acne

Jet Plasma is one of the tools we use to help our acne clients. Acne needs bacteria to form on the skin. The bacteria responsible for acne is called P.acnes. The ozone produced by Jet Plasma sterilizes the skin and is extremely effective at treating and preventing acne.

In addition, Jet Plasma can reduce sebum production (oily skin) by as much as 25%!

  • Please contact the spa directly to schedule your series or individual session. Plan on scheduling your initial sessions 48 hours apart, 2 times per week initially, and then once per week until desired results are achieved.

  • Prior to any treatments a consultation with a skin care professional is required. From here you will have a virtual visit with a Nurse Practitioner to be cleared for the procedure.

    Once cleared you will need to have pictures taken for documentation purposes.

    You want to avoid any products containing retinols, AHA’s, and BHA’s for at least 7 days prior to the procedure.

  • Jet Plasma is a completely pain free treatment, which means no numbing is needed. During the treatment you may feel slight warmth in some areas. There are no significant side effects following a Jet Plasma treatment. You may have some slight redness and your skin may feel somewhat tight however, no visual recovery time is required after this treatment.

  • Absolutely! Jet Plasma is non-invasive, meaning that clients can receive certain other skincare treatments in conjunction with Jet Plasma. Simply speak with your skin care professional about pairing Jet Plasma with other treatments to achieve your ideal aesthetic goals.

  • Do not apply anything for 12 hours after your treatment, including makeup. Avoid exercise, sauna, and steam for 12 hours.

  • In general, anyone that has:

    • A pacemaker

    • Hypersensitivity

    • Cancerous legions

    • An implanted neurostimulator

    • An electrical implanted device or implanted slow medication

    And anyone who is pregnant should not receive this treatment.

  • You will see some initial results in the way of skin tightening; however, like all collagen-stimulating treatments, the collagen takes time to regenerate and final results are seen around 8-12 weeks.

  • Results last 2-5 years with proper skin care and sunscreen, but of course longevity of results, like with anything, depends on age, health, lifestyle factors, sun exposure, etc.
